The smell of rotting corpses...
They're finally cleaning out those old mines. It's about time.

Those damned Sableye were beginning to smell.

I watch as a man wheels by a wheelbarrow of the rotting corpses, half-decayed and eyes missing, they are of no use now.
They'll be dumped in a huge pile of sableye bodies deep inside Iron island.

There's a new batch getting in today.

I smirk at the thought, the more money we make, the more Giovanni is pleased.

The new sableye are unloaded, their shining diamond eyes filled with imperfections.
We'll fix that soon enough.

We lead them into the mines, where all sorts of Gems sparkle.
True, we could easily sell all these gems.

But when a sableyes gems are ripe enough, they are worth much more.

We watch as the Sableye engorge themselves on gems. A few of them stop, and are... "assisted" by a worker to help them eat a few more.
I watch as the sableye have mroe gems shoved into their mouths.

After a few hours, they are ripe.
We examine their eyes, and a few are allowed to live just a little longer.

As for the ones whos eyes sparkle and glimmer perfection... we have plans for them.

They follow us into a room where a chair sits.
the chair is equipped with straps, and as the lights are turned on there are revealed to be hundreds of them.

Each Sableye is strapped into the chair with promises of a teeth cleaning... heh.

I watch as the sableye squirm, their shrill cries echo as the gems are pulled from their sockets.

We got a good haul this year.
We made a lot of money.
