The Cat

It was a dreary night, as usual I couldn't sleep well and so I decided to sneak upstairs and onto the computer.
I was enjoying my time online chatting with a few friends in other countries when the door to the computer room creaked slowly open.
I peered quickly with only a seconds glance- in that glance I caught the skeletal form of what seemed to be a cat, missing one ear with a singular haunting crimson-brown eye too small for the socket.
I took a double take only to find the creature gone.
My heart beat slowed and I relaxed.
I have since avoided using the computer late at night, in fear my unwanted visitor may return.

This actually happened a few nights ago to me .3.'
It was pretty creepy to see that ghostly cat.
It kind of looked like the flesh was melting off the rest of it's body...

And before you say I was imagining it:
- I was wide awake
- I smelled it too, it smelled awful
- I don't have hallucinations, haven't had one in bout 10 years

The cat:
Mostly skeletal, with flesh dripping off (looked like it was burnt a little)
Fur was brownish-black.
Eye was brown-red.
Only one ear, the right ear (left from my front-view perspective)
Smelled of rotting flesh.
