Anyways phew.
Just what the title implies.
These are the original/first designs of Yoi and Aku.
Let's note some things about them.

Original Aku
Aku was originally female, and was going to be called Yoi.
The design on the left was the original.
Aku was originally going to be the victim.

Original Yoi
Yoi was originally male, and called Aku.
The design on the right is the original.
Yoi was originally going to be the killer

The original splice?
The original splice was going to be based slightly on the evolution- but also about the topic of jealousy- being twins, Aku (today's Yoi) was going to be jealous of his sister for being more prefered by their trainer.

Wrap-up
I pretty much used the original designs with a few tweaks.
I changed gender and role, and focused more on the evolution itself, adding a tint of the original jealousy theme to make it interesting, as well as eventually adding a backstory to explain Aku's sometimes neurotic behaviors.



I may use the one on the left for something :3
